It’s A New Season

I’d like to begin this post with a big CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has graduated this spring. Best of luck to everyone on their future (and current) endeavors. Between seeing everyone achieve their goals, and everything else that’s going on in life right now, I have been feeling exceedingly inspired lately. Not to mention the weather is better and the sun is out for much longer, which just kind of seems to make life better.

I’m sure everyone who is going to read this knows by now, I have a son on the way! I could not be more excited for that. I would have been just as happy with a girl, but there’s just something about knowing that makes it even more exciting. I’m so looking forward to meeting my little man; playing video games, building with Legos, and watching lots of Pokemon together. It’s an exciting new chapter in life for sure.

I am also attending college for the summer 2014 semester. Just started on Monday, in fact. I’m taking a computer programming course and a project management course. I’ve been working towards getting a computer job for a while now, and I’m feeling pretty inspired again.

I had been studying different programming languages on and off for about a year or so. But it feels great to be getting the official, “educated” perspective to help me solidify my knowledge on the topic. Looking through the course online, it seems like I might already know a lot of the topics (thanks dad), but I could use the practice/motivation.

Anyways, Dust and Ashes is actually getting pretty close to finishing the CD. It’s coming out actually even better than I expected. I will also be recording a few other projects in about a month. I’ve already been listening to the demo tracks, and I can’t wait (I’m going to be playing drums and bass).

I have some other musical things in the works… but I have a bad habit of making myself way too busy, so I just want to focus on what is in front of me first.

I also feel that, God willing, I have some big changes coming in the not-too-distant future (as if becoming a dad isn’t a big enough change!) I’m still thinking and praying about it, so I’m not going to say much about it for now.

Well, I suppose I needed to let my mind run for a bit. Until next time… keep being awesome, and don’t give up. Perseverance.

In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:6
